Antique Hand Decorated Man In The Moon Trinket Dish Ceramic German/Austrian c 1910 A truly rare and special find with an aesthetic that is quintessential to the the period. This is a great piece for a serious antique ceramics collector. I was unable to locate the mark and asked an appraiser friend for help. He kindly responded: "I agree with you about your dating and attribution would be likely German/Austrian, in my opinion. I tried to look it up, a lot of people have found porcelain pieces with this mark (and in some cases, an embossed number stamp), but all have failed to find the actual maker’s information. They all concluded it is German/Austrian from around 1910, but no one can seem to attribute this mark!" The mystery adds more intrigue and appeal as far as I'm concerned. There was a bonafide ceramic house of this quality that may be lost to history. Measurements:  1" H x 5.5" L x 3.5" W Condition:  Very good antique condition with a couple unobtrusive fleabites in the eyebrow area. There is some pitting and general signs of age on the back. No other noticed chips, cracks, scuffs, blemishes or damage. Normal wear for age. Please see all photos.
