Antique Hawaiian Poleho Shell Lei

A thick collar of deep brown poleho shells, rich and chunky, filled with history and island spirit. Very unusual, I’ve never seen another lei like this! True Vintage, 1940’s or 50’s, handmade long ago with skill, patience and fishing line, ending in a gorgeous brass barrel screw clasp with just the right amount of patina. Just collecting these shells probably took months! Overall in wonderful antique condition, it retains its stability and the shells are in wonderful condition. From an estate in Hawaii with many beautiful shell necklaces. If you’re hunting for something to go with that Niihau this could be it, or perhaps for a bride and groom.
