Adorable antique litho framed print of a boy fishing off a dock. Looks like he has been successful as he eyes his little fish with satisfaction. He holds a rudimentary fishing pole with he fishing line pinched in his little chubby fist in his right hand. He has on denim jean overalls and a bucket hat. This print is from an American primitive artist, W.S. Mowbray. This print is also advertising memorabilia with "Plumbing and Tinning Keiper & Vockroth" stamped on the dock edges. This company dealt in plumbing pipes and tinning process products. Tinning is the coating of normally oxidizable metals with a thin layer of tin to prevent rust. This would make a perfect gift for Father's Day, kids room decor, advertising memorabilia collector, plumber and industrial worker, fisherman or fisher person, antique art aficionado, lake cabin decor, farmhouse style, country living decor. Size: 16.25" x 11.25" x 0.5" Condition: Very good condition for an antique lithograph. Framed in a black wooden frame with beaded decorative trim along edge. Wire, ready to hang. The litho has darkened with age but the advertising stamping is still pretty legible. There is a squiggly scratch close to the mouth of the fish- It blends in with the subject and I originally thought it was the fishing line! Some mild and consistent rippling of the print.
