Antique Marchand Paris Opera Glass Binoculars Brass & Mother of Pearl Abalone

Lovely late Victorian / early Edwardian era (circa 1890s) MarchandParis brand opera glass binoculars in beautiful antique condition. “Marchand Paris” was the higher-end selectionof the “Lemaire Paris” line of opera glasses. Solid brass fittings with gorgeous iridescent abalone / mother-of-pearlinlay. The wheel for adjusting thelenses is also made of mother of pearl and is fully functional. Provides a very clear view through thelenses, no chips or cloudiness to the glass. All pieces can be adjusted easily by hand and all parts can be removedfor cleaning. It does not come with ahandle, but the knob which the original handle would have screwed into is stillintact so a replacement handle may be easily added to restore its full originalstate. Height is adjustable from 1-3/4in to 2-3/8 in. Width at widest is 2-7/8in. Depth is 1-1/3 in. Weighs 6 oz unboxed.
