Antique Marx & Gutherz Porcelain Casserole Dish

This beautiful early 1800’s antique casserole dish with handles is a rare find. Made by the famous porcelain manufacturer, Marx & Gutherz Carlsbad. Makers stamp is on the back. Made in Austria between 1813-1885. Considering her 200yr age, the floral design is still in very good condition, the gold leaf trim has come off in a few places, but no chips or cracks. Unfortunately the original lid is missing, however it can still be used as a shallow serving bowl, or as a beautiful display piece in a lovely hutch, table top, or buffet. Imagine the conversations she’s heard and the tables she’s adorned thru the centuries. Such a beautiful piece to add to an existing collection or a great piece to start one.
