The set has been cleaned, polished and restored to their early 20th century condition. The interior of the creamer and sugar bowl have been cleaned but not restored.
Both creamer and covered sugar bowl are stamped Middletown Silverware EPC 81227.
The creamer measures 2.75” in diameter at the base, 4.75” across the top from the lip to end of handle and 6.0” in height with classic Relief trim detailing.
The sugar bowl measures 3.375” in diameter at the base, 6.0” across the top from handle to handle, height from base to top of bowl without the cover measures 5.25” and is 7.75” in height from the base to the tip of the cover with classic Relief trim detailing.
Often confused with the Middletown Plate Company, the Middletown Silver Company was a separate entity that formed in 1899 after the former was acquired by the International Silver Company and its production moved to Meriden.
