Antique Noritake Cup and Underplate Japan Jeweled Multicolor Gold Black Mother of Pearl Crestwood Vintage Handpainted This porcelain tea cup & Saucer was produced in Japan by Noritake in the early 1900s. The “Kormoru” mark was registered in London in 1908. Items with this mark were made especially for the English market and were of superb quality. Raised and beaded gilding is accented with raised gold beads or jewels. Bands of black, accented with raised gold, trim the rims. The rims and handle are richly gilded. This was Noritake’s answer to jeweled Coalport. Condition is good Vintage quality
