This is an antique seven piece opalescent berry serving set done in the Jeweled Heart pattern by Northwood Glass.
The Jeweled Heart pattern was made by Northwood Glass from 1896 to 1901. It was also used by Dugan Glass from 1904 to 1913.
The Northwood Glass company was founded by Harry Northwood. Before then Harry worked for Hobbs-Brockunier and LaBelle in the 1880's.
Harry's brother Carl Northwood worked along side him once the company was founded. The Northwood plant closed in 1925, only six short years after Harry died in 1919.
The large berry bowl is 10" in width and 3.25" in height. The six smaller bowls are 5.75" in width and 2" in height.
There are variation in the opalescent in the smaller bowls and a chip on the underside of the rim of one small bowl. So please take your time and look closely at all of the pictures.
This set is out of my own personal collection.
I do my best to list any defects that I can find. Please feel free to ask me any questions you might have.
