This antique silk fringed IOOF (International Order of Odd Fellows) ribbon features a double-sided design for Lodge No. 465 in Sloan, Iowa. On the red side, the ornate gold-tone badge displays crossed American flags and a celluloid badge with the all-seeing eye symbol and chain links in an ornate gold tone frame, representing the fraternal values of the Odd Fellows. The black side serves as a memorial ribbon with "In Memoriam" and additional Odd Fellows symbols. The removable The M.C. Lilley & Co. celluloid pin has an all-seeing eye symbol and chain links in an ornate gold tone base. This ribbon, made in the late 1800s, is rich in history and symbolism, ideal for Americana or Odd Fellows collectors.
