Soft Pink & Green Tones with a touch of yellow and added gold touches on the rim and throughout this pattern.
Good Antique Condition with no chips or cracks and some of the gold worn from age.
3 Stamps on Back, photos show detail.
Appros: 8 1/2" round x 1" from table to edge giving a beveled shape.
A Bit of History: The PSL refers to the Pfeiffer & Lowenstein Factory of Schlackenwerth, Bohemia, Austria.
Founding: Ludwig Lowenstein, Wilhelm Pfeiffer, and George von Hoffmann founded the factory in 1873.
Renaming: The factory was renamed Pfeiffer & Lowenstein in the 1900s.
Seizure: The Nazis seized the factory in 1938 and renamed it Porcelain Factory Schlackenwerth Josef Pfeiffer.
Closure: The factory closed in 1949.
Mark: The factory's mark, PSL, was used from 1901 to 1938. Some marks are just PL.
Other names: The factory is also known as Imperial PSL Empire, Imperial Austria, and PUL.
