Antique Vintage Rare Whole Intact Solarized Light Purple Aseptic 200 cc / 8 oz Medicine Bottle. Made by Obear-Nester Glass Co, East St Louis, Illinois, circa 1905-1915. Marking on the Back Appears to be a Stylized “3” (This is a Pharmacy Symbol that Stands for OZ) Plus “viii” (Roman Numerals) Means This is an 8 oz Bottle. The Light Lavender Purple Color Comes from Solarization (Sun Exposure) Over Time Turning the Decolorizer Magnesium Dioxide (Originally Added to Make the Glass Clear) to a Purple Color. It is Extremely Rare to Find Solarized Glass Objects All in One Piece Complete, as in this Exciting Turn of the 20th Century ASEPTIC Druggist Pharmacy Medicine Bottle. Condition is Antique Very Good - Normal Wear with No Chips or Cracks. The Bubbles and Folds in the Glass are Normal for Mold Blown Glass of This Era.
