Very good condition and original case. The case is a little rough looking but clean. This style was popular starting in the 1920's. Octagonal in shape and 12k gold filled. These particular ones are from B & L. Look closely and you can see the detail work across the nose brim! So cool !!

hi, I was just poking around, I think that hallmark might be 12k gold filled, as opposed to gold plated. That would explain the still great gold color. I suspect gold plating would have worn off in several places by now, and would have a lower value.

@ctfield53 thank you for your words of advice! All of my items were my moms. I have hours and hours in researching every item. Your right on the wear...common sense would say there would be some tarnished areas. But, I NEVER want to falsely explain anything. I've had a "closet" on Posh for almost 5yrs and have had returns because there was a difference in a year(literally a year). Now I fly on the cautious side. I will however Google the glasses again and see what I can find. Again, THANK YOU!!

@pbj_home yes, I have also had 2 sales cancelled. One bcuz it wasn't real gold when I used the word as a color descriptor. Who expects real gold in a $15 pair of earrings?
