Antique Whiting & Davis Sterling Silver Mesh Purse/Evening Bag Amazing, ornate etched frame with stamps still intact and clearly readable. Inside edge is stamped Whiting & Davis Co. next to one hinge and Sterling is stamped next to the opposite hinge. This piece measures about 5"L x 5"W with the chain drop approximately 8 1/4" from the center point. One knob piece on the kisslock closure is broken but other than that, this authentic antique piece is the very definition of elegance!

evamarie482 @scarlettstained There's a small raised lip or edge that snaps securely under the existing knob. It fits nicely...I would be inclined to say that it was intended to be this way if I didn't know any better. Please let me know if you have any other questions:-)
