Antique Ulpiano Checa Framed Litho Print “The Chariot Race Crash, Wall Art, Neoc

Antique 1910/1920 framed litho art print by Ulpiano Checa “The Chariot Race Crash”. Ulpiano was a prolific Spanish painter, sculptor, illustrator and poster designer (1860-1916). He won 3rd place for this piece in 1890 at the Salon de Paris. He was also involved at the juror level in the litho guild of his time. This print is very high quality with amazing details of furious horses, mayhem and excited spectators. It draws you in and is almost cinematic and reminiscent of Ben Hur dramatics. The print has aged to a mild sepia tone. I did not remove it from the frame- and am unsure if there is a signature on the lower margins under the frame. Size: 18.25” tall x 32.25” wide x 1” deep (outside dimensions of frame). Condition: Good antique condition. Quality wood frame. Print has sepia toning, and mild foxing along margins. This is camouflaged by the theme of the art as it is grey-scale and blends in with the foxing. Nice piece, ready to hang. NPK-(psh)(mer)
