𝅺Antique Wedding Cake Toppers Bride Groom Penny Dol

These antique bride and groom wedding cake toppers are from the 1920’s - 1930’a and are made of bisque ceramic. They are what was called Penny Dolls or Frozen Charlotte dolls because they were white and not movable - after a morose ballad about Charlotte, who froze to death on the way to a ball because she refused to wear a coat over dress in the sleigh. They are attached to the cake by a toothpick at the bottom. They were a penny, often all that people could afford in the Great Depression.
