Antique Yellow and Orange Square Scarf (Probably Silk)

This vintage/antique square scarf measures 34 inches per side. I do not know its origin or its age. No tags or insignia. It belonged to my grandmother who emigrated from Germany in the late 1920s and lived in NYC until the 1950s. I am quite confident the material is silk. It has a wonderful, authentic, woven texture. Brought from Germany? Bought in NYC? A gift? I wish I knew. (I have a vague memory that it may have belonged to or have been gifted to her by a relative in Israel, but I cannot verify that.) The hems/seams around the edges appear to have been machine-sewn and are in very good shape (no frays, loose thread, or unraveling). So that might help narrow when it was made. There is a small stain on one corner, visible through both sides (see pic). Otherwise, this scarf is in great shape.
