Antique black and white lithograph in oval wood frame. The Milk Maid/Lady with Horse. Rare find. W 12.25” H 15.5” The popular and often copied oil portrait by Richardson is here represented in a 19th century lithograph. The subject does not appear to be a fine lady, but rather a country girl or milk maid, depicted with a tin dipper. This 15 ½” by 12 ¼” (1” deep) picture has a bucolic charm and a handsome horse; the frame is a particularly nice hard to find oval. The frame has a gold band interior and a wood finish outer band. There are some scratches on the wooden finish (please zoom photos). The original picture wire and paper are on the back of the picture; again, please zoom photos to see full condition. We think this lovely lady and her beloved horse would add a real Victorian charm to any home, and would look great on a gallery wall with other equestrian prints.
