smartgirlsummer @lblank43 I thought it was a sapphire but I don't know 100% it looks a little lighter when I compare it to my other so that's why I put blue stone. I know its really old and an antique. I was going to have it appraised I just haven't had time. I know its real gold and it was handmade one of a kind so that's why I put it over 500 because Posh authenticates anything 500 and over.

smartgirlsummer @lblank43 it's absolutely gorgeous and if I could wear it I would keep it but I work un surgery so i don't get to wear my jewelry it just sits in a jewelry drawer. It was my grandmothers who is 99 so I am keeping several pieces for sentimental but they just really sit there.

smartgirlsummer @leviskm For me I list them at least 500 because it goes through Posh concierge. They authenticate over 500. And if any discrepancies they send back to the seller. This protects you the seller and also the buyer. I sold one for under 500 the lady said it wasn't right size (which it was and a different ring one said it was fake which it wasn't) and sent it back. So I don't waist my time and risk losing a ring I send through Posh so everyone is protected. If it's under 500 you do risk scammers

leviskm @smartgirlsummer That is a great service that they offer! I have an emerald necklace that I've had appraised for insurance purposes and is worth $2500. It was a gift from before my husband and I never wore it anyway. We live in a rural area and none of the jewelers were interested in it and the pawn shop only offered $50 for the gold. I've haven't known where to go next. Do you think it might sell on here? Have you had any luck selling them?

smartgirlsummer @leviskm I think you definitely could especially if you still have the appraisal letter. You can usually get at least half of what it appraises for on here. They usually set appraisals a little higher. So some will ask you to take less. You will of course have the crazy people that will offer 20 dollars lol. And it will go through Posh as long as you don't go under 500 so this will protect you. It's scary selling expensive items online but with this I'm not as worried.

gen2223 Is there any wear to the stone? Does it look worn down or scuffed up at all? Any imperfections in the stone?

smartgirlsummer @gen2223 hi it is an antique do there could be imperfections as stated. There are no chips out of the stones. From the naked I there are no scratches on it that I can see. There may be some on the gold part but as you can see in pics it's a really gorgeous ring. It does not look worn down by any means but it is an antique and handmade so it's not a regular cookie cutter ring. If you like antique jewelry you will love it. If you are looking for new probably not the right ring. Hope that helps 💜
