lisaely775 These are beautiful covers! I (like you) have done bleach soaking. I stumbled upon a way to clean without using bleach: add a dishwasher tab (granulated type) per gallon of very warm water, dissolve in large bowl, add garments! You can soak 24 hours without hurting the fabric. Rinse well by hand or rinse cycle in your washing machine. It’s an amazing recent discovery; I washed eight vintage baby bonnets and they laundered oh-so-beautifully!

ellalouisbillie @lisaely775 thanks for the info. I always try a regular dish soap soak or dish soap / oxi soap for vintage whites before bleaching. Unfortunately the stains did not come out so I did a light bleach soak. You really shouldn’t do bleach soaking on antique fabrics but this cotton was sturdy enough to do a light bleach soaking. What I really need to get is some retro clean which is the best to soak vintage / antique in. Happy washing 🥂
