Antique cotton embroidered skirt XS

Antique skirt made from very soft, lightweight cotton. Very beautiful embroidery. Scalloped hem. The skirt is somewhat sheer. I think this was originally part of a dress. You can see where stitches were removed, all the way around, beneath the waistband. (See the last two photos.) Another possible explanation is that there might have been a trim that was removed. The mannequin has 26” waist and 36” hips. The skirt would fit sizes 0 or 2. Note that there are no fasteners on the side opening. You could add snaps or hooks and eyes. Overall condition is good, considering its age. Please look carefully at the photos. In addition to the area all around the top where stitches were removed, there are some tiny holes scattered throughout the skirt. Hand wash and lay flat to dry. From a smoke free and pet free home.
