Antique.. not vintage! Beaver long hair fur coat?

This beauty was my grandmothers coat… well I’m 72. She was born late 1800s! My mom told me this was beaver. I’m not sure.. It is so soft.. still! There is a large button ( covered with fur) in the front. It seems that the back collar ( it is lined also) could be a hood, but I don’t think so. I think it is a collar though that would can come up a bit and hug your neck:). The only issue I see is that the lining needs replaced. I so wish I could wear this.. but won’t fit. I’d get it relined if I could wear it. It’s a jewel…not sure of the size.. but I put pictures of measurements..
