Not sure what these are called but I think they were used as decorative pins on the front of ruffled blouses this one is all encrusted with beautiful rhinestones which seem to all be intact and a dark blue glass cabochon jewel in the middle very old, was my aunt's who passed a long time ago.

vickisueellison @lsu_shoegirl. Ah, dont think so. Its 50-60+ yrs old. My aunts she used it for her scarfs or front of ruffles on blouse. It's very very old. Dont think shoe clips invented back in those days!!

josephine21 This is a dress clip, meant to be worn on necklines or lapels. Just an FYI, shoe clips have been around since the 1700's.
