walid_belkhatir Hello i think i may have gotten scammed by a user. He hasn't blocked me yet or anything, he may genuinely just want the money on cash app or i might be stupid enough to believe him. I won't tag him yet but if i was scammed, is there a way I can get my money back from the bank or am I screwed? You seem to know how to identify the scammers so pls message back! I need help, we did one partial transaction on poshmark because i insisted but the majority of the transaction was on cash app

walid_belkhatir He has other listings up too so he may not be a scammer. I told him just now that he has to provide me shipping info by tomorrow and he said he will, he is still responding to me. I sent him the money on Sunday afternoon so maybe I should wait and see once he gets me shipping info or not

birdbysnow Thanks for sharing this! I’d like to add a couple things I learned after shopping for an Apple Watch on this site: (1) If you are considering brand name/tech gear (e.g. Apple, Omega), the item should have a serial number. Genuine sellers are typically willing to share that info if you ask nicely and you can look it up on the manufacture’s website to verify authenticity/confirm it isn’t reported stolen.

birdbysnow (2) You (or the seller) can bundle a single item and conduct a one-on-one message thread in that bundle. This exchange can still be viewed publicly by anyone who is interested, but it makes it much easier for genuine sellers to address all your specific questions/concerns without switching to txt/email. (3) You can flag a seller for trying to conduct sales off-site. I use this if someone asks for my info as it can be hard to tell genuine sellers from scams sometimes.

birdbysnow @ketinmsan If you decide to pursue it, just recognize that any statements made outside of the Poshmark service (e.g. claims about the condition, agreements on when the seller will ship) can’t be verified by Poshmark if there is dispute. So, consider what might happen if you only got 1 earbud.

birdbysnow @ketinmsan (2) That probably happens a lot - someone sells one because they lost the other. Unless the seller stated in the posting or via Poshmark message that both were included and in good working order, there is no way for the Poshmark people to know whether the seller scammed you or you just didn’t do your due diligence. You prob won’t get your money back.

birdbysnow @ketinmsan (3) If you decide to purchase an item, do the transaction on Poshmark and make sure the seller confirms the details you really care about either in the posting or via messaging here. Don’t be afraid of being difficult. Be polite, but do ask for whatever you need to feel comfortable with the purchase. It’s your money and no one is forcing the seller to work with you. (Btw, sorry for all the text - it’s a good question and I feel it deserves a real answer)

whatever1919 There are 4 more post from people.. I'm guessing it's the same person because the counter tops are all the same. kylebeats29 and parksandre14 are 2 the others blocked me. People beware.... These arw scams. You can not buy brand new airpods 2nd Gen for $50.
