A block puzzle featuring six paintings by Giuseppe Arcimboldo Flora (ca.1530 - 1593). Pomegranate block puzzles are composed of twelve 2" square blocks which may be flipped and turned to form six different artworks. The works of art in this puzzle are: Floral, 1591 Vertumnus (Emperor Rudolf II), 1590 Autumn, 1573 Spring, 1573 Summer, 1563 Giuseppe Arcimboldo was an Italian painter best known for creating imaginative portrait heads made entirely of such objects as fruits, vegetables, flowers, fish, and books – that is, he painted representations of these objects on the canvas arranged in such a way that the whole collection of objects formed a recognizable likeness of the portrait subject.
