In the United States, it is common among people who don't have tattoos to stigmatize those who do. In this drawing, I chose to feature a Polynesian, transgender woman with tribal tattoos in a delicate, humanizing, and humble pose to show that people of color and people with tattoos are just as human and therefore capable of gentleness, vulnerability, and integrity, as anyone else.
