Artisan Flower Hoop Earrings Oxidized Sterling Silver French clip back Total length approx. 2.25" Flower length approx. 1.25" Vintage - purchased 2000-2002 Purchased from a local boutique that featured a variety of jewelry designers. I can not remember the name of this artist. From the early 2000s. Excellent condition - I don't' believe I ever wore them - always stored in my jewelry box. Please use a dry polishing cloth on these, do not use silver cleaner (it can damage the finish). *Oxidized silver (blackened silver) is genuine sterling silver but its outer surface has been purposely darkened via a chemical process. This essentially speeds up the natural tarnishing process, creating an attractive dark patina, which consists of a layer of silver sulfide on the exterior of the metal.
