Artisan Vintage Modernist Sterlng Silver Hand Carved Stone Bead Drop Earrings 3" Unique vintage artisan Modernist dangle earrings. Made of sterling silver wire that is 1.6mm thick. They are substantial in form. Even the traditional French Wire hooks are thicker than most other hooks you see. Twisted elongated sculptural forms that appear Art Nouveau AND Modernist simultaneously with hand carved stone hourglass shapes suspended. The two stone pieces have either aged differently or were intentionally chosen as similar but different warm colors. Possibly Alabaster marble and / or agate. Excellent condition.  No defects or flaws. Very light oxidizing. They are about 3.3 inches long & roughly one-half inch wide. They weigh just over 5 grams each. They are unmarked as far as I can tell but test as Sterling with the acid test method. Stones test as real stone on the Presidium Gem Tester II. I don't know how old they are, but they are telling me they are my age. Part of the reason I think I'm drawn to them. Mid 1970s is my guess.
