New in Box. Vtg 1994 The Ashton-Drake Galleries “Amy” Doll Original Issue.
Amy is an original issue in the "Little Women" collection, inspired by Louisa May Alcott's "Little Women". The collection was designed by artist Wendy Lawton and produced under the hallmark of Ashton Drake.
"Amy" is 14.5" tall, porcelain head, hands and feet allowing her to be fully poseable. She is the youngest of the four Little Women. Described by Louisa May Alcott as a regular "snow-maiden", "Amy" is recreated as a fair skinned doll with long golden locks. She is wearing a floral-print dress with ruffles layers, burgundy trim, lace collar, lace trimmed bloomers, and black Mary Janes. Comes with sketch book, COA, and has never been removed from the box.
The edition of "Amy" ended forever in 1995 when the mold was broken and no more porcelain was cast. She was never removed from her packaging.
