🚫Ask questions & don’t assume

Would you purchase this necklace? This one’s tricky, but it’s a good example of why you should read the description carefully and ask questions before purchasing. Is this a 14k necklace with a stamp? Or is it a necklace with a 14k stamp? It’s a subtle but very important difference. 🚫There are many pieces of jewelry with 14k stamps on them that, to my eye anyway, are obvious fakes. The sellers are passing them off as solid 14k gold. That’s scamming. 💎There are also pieces that look like fakes and have the 14k stamp, except these sellers tell you in the description that the piece is actually plated and not solid gold. That’s an honest seller. ❓Then there’s the example in the photo. My spidey sense tells me it’s a legit item. But when I asked the seller if it was really 14k gold, I didn’t get a clear answer. 🧐 If I bought it and it WAS fake, would I have grounds to refuse to accept it? After all, it doesn’t actually say the necklace is 14k. Lesson: read carefully and ask questions BEFORE you buy. 🤷🏻‍♀️Would you buy this necklace? Why or why not?
