tmmac82 @courtnyoung that is what is in it right now and for the asscher cut diamond with the quality that was wanted it was the largest Asscher cut that could fit. I know it can carry a larger princess cut and I believe cushion cut. I am not sure of all the stones styles though.

tmmac82 @lvgirl26 thank you so much for checking out my items and ad much as I would love to help out this ring is valued over $8,000 and if I were more aggressive about selling it I’m sure I would have by now but I just stuck it on here and have kept in the safe. The price listed is actually lower than I am really comfortable with due to the actual money after fees I would receive. I hope you can understand.

tmmac82 @jessicacherise Yes if you look up the technical term, they are the only step cut style diamonds. You have a rectangle emerald card or a square emerald cut known also as the Asscher diamond which is technically octagon but “square like” in appearance with a steeper facet and higher table making it the more brilliant of the two.

tmmac82 @jessicacherise For whatever reason I believe it has something do with history and the fact that the emerald cut was named first therefore when the square step cut was made most jewelers called it a square a mole cut instead of naming it after Mr. Asscher in many technical documents although it is very much an Asscher diamond not an emerald diamond. Asscher - square step cut, emerald - rectangle step cut. I hope that helps answer your question

tmmac82 @fashionjunkieto Please look up the technical terms or talk to a jeweler. The emerald diamond is a rectangle, a square emerald cut is the Asscher diamond. You can actually Google the history of them or contact any jewelry store for more technical an historical breakdown, I apologize I didn’t realize that that was an unknown fact about the Asscher diamond. It was named after a gentleman and it is a square emerald cut diamond. the rectangle emerald cut is referred to as the emerald diamond.
