@coleenccryan hi. I am out of town until Oct 2. I can give you more accurate measurement then but I did see a post online that says the medium is 21 inches armpit to armpit across the back. Hope that helps for now.

@coleenccryan sorry this took so long. It measures 19 inches across the back from pit to pit. The jacket is a true small.
