Does this measure like a western saddle or english? what kind of pad is used, english or western?
Mar 11Reply

wooleyhorse13
@1hdgurl the gullet measurement is from dot to dot on these and the seat is a generous 17” you can use either western or English saddle pad with this. These are meant for comfort over long distances/time-and for steep unpredictable terrain. The over/under girth ensures the saddle stays put and the breastplate also keeps saddle secure. I would say the fit is closer to English as it’s not quite as long as a traditional western saddle

1hdgurl
What size is the Wintec and what color?
Mar 14Reply

wooleyhorse13
@1hdgurl wintec is brown with silver hardware 17” seat believe its full QH bars I’ll have to check that when I get home. It’s listed in my closet with images. Brand new never been ridden in.

@wooleyhorse13 Would this fit a horse with high withers and wide back
Mar 14Reply

1hdgurl
Also is this treeless
Mar 14Reply

wooleyhorse13
@1hdgurl not treeless I can put it on my horse and take a photo and send a photo of his back too. I have a Belgian warmblood with shark fin and big belly so kinda same as high wither wide back
Mar 14Reply

wooleyhorse13
I do know that it was recommended to folks having difficulty finding fit for high withered horses and the saddles flocking will conform to horses back once it’s ridden in but currently it’s new just been sitting so it’s a blank slate per se

@wooleyhorse13 Is this real leather or synthetic?
Mar 14Reply

1hdgurl
Also I ride a 17” western saddle, does this saddle size differently like an English I am told I would need a size or two bigger.
Mar 14Reply

wooleyhorse13
@1hdgurl real leather
Mar 14Reply

Does it come with the croup and breast attachment? stirrups and leathers? If you will be willing to take $300 and free shipping i will take it
Apr 05Reply

wooleyhorse13
@1hdgurl comes with actual breastplate attachment but not croup-shipping is at least $40 and after posh marks racket it would leave me with $200 for it and that’s just not enough. I appreciate the interest tho :)
Apr 07Reply

wooleyhorse13
For $300 you might be able to get a synthetic one new or close to it tho.

Hi I am VERY interested in this saddle. Can you possibly get a measurement from me from Dee ring to Dee ring at the top of the gullet that is at my barn that we measured that way? I want to compare it to another & if it matches, I will order now!
Apr 30Reply

mustangkatie83
I can send you a picture of what I mean if needed :)
Apr 30Reply

wooleyhorse13
I added pics with measurements hope they help. We usually measure point to point or dot to dot and this saddle has both dee rings for the breastplate and dots and hardware clips so I tried to do measurements from all and from stitch to stitch in underside of gullet as well as about halfway down the gullet. I believe that these saddles have an adjustable tree you just have to get a certified Saddle fitter to do the adjustments. Something worth looking into. let me know if you need any more info.

@wooleyhorse13 thanks so much! this looks great! I didn't see the Down Under plate, are you sure it's a Down Under?
Apr 30Reply

wooleyhorse13
@mustangkatie83 it says down under saddle supply on the left hand side flap. It’s like embossed I just had to delete the pic to for the measurement ones

Hi,
I wondered if you have ever sold a saddle on Postmark and completed the transaction? I have saddles I would like to sell but wondered how you are able to sell one on Poshmark? I know the max shipping weight they support is 10lbs for their labels. I know from 5-10lbs you have to pay an upgraded shipping fee that is over the standard $7.45 they charge for under 5lbs. Saddles weigh far more than the 10lb limit so wonder if you know a way to do this?
Thanks!
