Georgian pendant brooch made in Austria.
An incredible antique pendant brooch, created in Austria during the Georgian period, back in the 1820. This fabulous piece has been crafted with classical neo-classical patterns in solid yellow gold of 18 karats and embellished with applications of vivid blue glass enamel. The design is very compact with substantial weight and is composed by a kind of coat of arms in the center, which is flanked and supported by three cherubim. The piece is accented with chiseled and engraved decorative motifs and mounted with forty-four natural earth mined rose-cuts diamonds.
It is fitted at the reverse with a hinged horizontal pin bar with a security hook to wear as a brooch and a retractable ring to wear in a chain. The construction of the piece and the level of details is amazing, made up with individual elements putted together by screws and pins. This pendant-brooch has a beautiful antique patina, is a total eye catcher and should be a great conversation piece.
