A pair of vintage Eighties oversize sunglasses by Emmanuelle Khanh -- the French designer who "invented" oversize sunglasses and who made them a "glamour statement" and an integral element of any outfit. When you see J Lo or other celebs in their big sunglasses it is Khanh who is responsible! Emmanuelle Khanh designed Audrey Hepburn's sunglasses for the film "Breakfast at Tiffany's" -- it is Khanh's sunglasses Aufrey Hepburn wear in that movie and in Charade. This pair comes from a limited edition of vintage Eighties eyeglasses handmade in France for Khanh's eponymous line. With gold metal initials "EK" on the outer side of the left prong and "Emmanuelle Khanh Paris" - Handmade in France" on the inner side of that prong. Made of black and tortoise material these have tiny gold studs and gray non-prescription lenses. In good condition - moderate wear all over. Dimensions side of frame to other side across 6" Lenses 2.25" across 1.25" high Prong is 1" high near temple and tapers towards the end. Prong-length 5" total (4" to where it bends)
