Authentic 19th Century Antique Staffordshire Blonde White Spaniel Dog. Single dog only! In good vintage condition with definite signs of wear for its age; made circa late 1800s. Evidence of a life well-lived! Small firing hole is in the back (which are indicative of authenticity) as well as no maker's mark on the bottom. When these were first made in England, they did not stamp the bottoms as they were not exporting them. Condition notes: There are some small chips to the eyebrow (see photo) and hairlines in the glaze. This is common for pieces of this time period. Please note that crazing in the glaze and paint loss (especially to the gold chain and collar) is not considered to affect the condition of authentic Staffordshire dogs. Given their age and handling over the last 170 years, these are not considered to be “defects” Measures 9" H.
