The technique known as ‘tapizado’ is where a design is laid over the fabric and with special needle each fabric “hair” is pulled through to achieve the design. Tapizado clutches are made in the same style you would a carpet hence. Also made by Wayuu women, they take longer to make than crochet clutches as it is like painting a picture pixel by pixel. Please note that measurements provided are approximately accurate with a possible 2-3% error. The item is in gently used condition, from a smoke-free home.
