Authentic Hawaiian Puka shell earrings

Shells collected from the beautiful North Shore of Oahu. Hand made by myself. Fine Sterling Silver ear wires and wire wrapping with Sterling silver wire. A genuine Puka shell is sourced from the terminal helix of a cone snail. After it dies, the shell will eventually erode until the terminal helix breaks off. As it erodes further, it will leave a ring shaped fragment of shell as a remnant. This natural bead was collected by myself to create this. These shell’s are becoming increasingly rare due to mass collecting. Some cone shell’s are harvested with the live animal inside. Due to the ancient Hawaiian method’s, I continue to respect the Ocean, in hopes that many follow through. Please refer to photos for details. What you see is what you are purchasing.
