Authentic Rare Vintage Bulatti Art Deco Clip on Earrings – Circa 1984

These pre-loved topaz-colored clip-on earrings are perfect for wear on casual days or at elegant evening events. The only reason I’m parting with them is that I’m curtailing my entertaining and my hair color migrated from various chestnuts and reds to polar bear gray. I've worn the earrings with both cocoa-colored jeans or an espresso-colored velvet gown. "Bulatti" signature is on their back. Please check photos for measurements. I love the story of Ermani Bulatti. As Italian designers were popular in the 70’s and 80’s, AccessaBV a tiny Dutch jewelry company, decided to change its name to a more Italian sounding name and design more elegant pieces to be sold in European boutiques. It became Ermani Bulatti, by using the name of the owner Herman Tiggler and the then designer Henk van den Berk. Herman became Ermani and Berk, which was “birch,” in Dutch. In French "birch" is Bouleau. They did not know the word in Italian, so Bouleau turned into Bulatti. Thus, the designer Ermani Bulatti was born. All items were handmade. Brass, bronze and silver were used with a special silver oxidation process. Other materials used were mother of pearl, river pearls, multi-colored pearls by Swarovski, as well as numerous rhinestones-crystals, natural bone, brass, copper, glass, silk, wood, and semi-precious stones.
