Are thse tight on the calf? I was thinking of wearing jeans with them but it seems that the shoe is too snug for that? is there room for Jean's or no?

That would depend on your calf size. Calf size of the boot is 15". My calf size is 13" and I was able to wear skinny jeans or jeggings with them comfortably.
