This Sculpture is a Totem pole created by a Aztec artist. The history I researched was most Totem poles were made from western red cedar. The Aztec worshiped the sun God. The sun God was a the source of life it was the most important of all the God's. The Aztec early Mexicans demanded human sacrifice, by blood, hearts believing they had to give the sun God; blood for return of good harvesting, and more rituals. Totem poles took artistic skills, learned skills by their fathers as a child. The Totem poles reached its peak until the nineth century. In 1884 the Totem poles were being banned by adopted Christians tradition. Totem poles were send to museums and private collector's throughout North America and Western Europe. So for this reason any one that buys Totem poles are collecting precious history.
