Each sought after pottery piece is unique and handcrafted from natural special mud from Oaxaca, Mexico and made without any dyes, lead or glazes. The black clay obtains it’s color when baked in an underground wood fire of thick black smoke at low temperatures. The sultry sheen finishing is due to the burnishing prior to firing in the oven. Pieces are shaped by hand and each are unique. Design is both steeped in tradition and modern at the same time! Hand wash and air dry. Not dishwasher safe or microwave safe.
