The inner ankle zipper adds interest and detail as well as function. There is a band of suede around the top of the heel sporting a gold-tone zipper, lending a dramatic flair. The toes are almond in shape to give you a little extra room and comfort. The soles are rubber all materials are manmade. There is a hole in the back of one heel. See pictures. Otherwise, they are in great condition, barely worn. I had foot surgery and can no longer wear them. Wear them to work with a skirt, to lunch with a pair of skinny jeans, or out on the town with a mini sweater dress from my closet to yours.
