Leather conditioner was used on them and it left behind a few marks on the insoles. Also note that there are two tiny cracks in the black sole by one of the screws on one of the boots. Doesn't seem to affect anything, but I wanted to mention. All four zippers are fully functional and work as they should. The leather is sturdy, but soft at the same time. These look and feel GREAT! Clean and no smells (other than leather!) smoke free, pet free
