9 1/2 inch Plate in the Greenbrier pattern on the pie crust mold with green sponge effect on the rim From Blue Ridge Southern Potteries, this pottery plate was hand painted in Tennessee in the 1940s and has the round mark. Elegant pale green and brown pattern with a dark green sponge effect rim, the diameter is 9 1/2 There are no cracks or crazing but there are several chips in the green sponge paint areas on the rim. There is also one chip on the back. Above the light green flower to the left of center there is a defect in painted area. On the back they are some of the typical pottery faults common in pottery from this maker and the era, including a few paint streaks under the glaze. All issues are shown in the photos.
