BOMBSHELL 1950s Wiggle Dress

💯 Chinois Qipao Wiggle Dress - 1950s This absolutely amazing red brocade silk Chinois tea dress was sold through the famous Hari Harilela custom shop in the Kowloon area of Hong Kong. Harilela dresses were sold to upper crust society ladies and brought home by western tourists in the 50s and 60s. I’ve really questioned selling this but I need to make space. There are surprisingly few minor defects: a tear in the liner and a few loose threads. I’m not a clothing restorer so I have not touched them. The zipper, snaps, and frog eyelet closures are all original. If you plan to wear it, be aware that there is no give in this fabric and it is not forgiving. Great for a beautiful bride, couture collector/curator, fancy dress cosplayer, rockabilly pinup girl, or just plain lover of beautiful things.
