BUNDLE 2 Vintage Collectible Books by Antoine de Saint-Exupery

Vintage paperbacks of great interest to pilots and flight enthusiasts. They are the same size and I consider them a collectible pair. They are in good condition, though delicate. (1) Wind, Sand and Stars, Bantam (1945 edition of 1939 book), is nonfiction dramatically portraying his role as a pilot assigned to establish an air mail route in South America. For this book he received the Grand Prix of the French Academy in 1939. Pages are yellowed. (2) Night Flight (first Penguin Books edition 1945) is a novel, preface by Nobel Prize winner Andre Gide. St. Exupery's philosophy culminated in "The Little Prince" (see my separate listing) which sold millions of copies worldwide. He perished in 1942 on a reconnaissance flight over Southern France.
