alwaysposhible @lisaburris - I’ve been photographing items for my closet & hope to post things soon. I have a deeper appreciation for this because it’s a tough job! Do you use a filter because despite the natural daylight & white background, there’s a yellowish hue to my photos 😔. Also, how to you organize/store everything after it’s been posted? Sorry for the “bundle” of questions!

lisaburris @alwaysposhible I do not use a filter. Are you using a flash? I find that that helps some. My pictures turn out better when I take them at my office then at my house due to lighting. I have looked into some lighting kits and found a few good ones on Amazon for less than $100. I think the one I want is called Soft Box Lighting Kit.

lisaburris Right now I put each item in a clear bag (if it will fit) and then in a large plastic labeled shirts or dresses etc.... I am working now on figuring out a numbering system to make it easier to find things as I expand my closet but this has worked so far. I want to keep it simple. I’m learning everyday. I watch a lot of YouTube videos and hope to start my own channel soon. I need to give you my number so you can call or text me.

alwaysposhible @lisaburris - wow, I didn’t expect to receive such a quick and thorough response! Thank you, your info was extremely helpful! I don’t know if I used a flash or not. I have more pictures to take tonight, so I’ll have my 12 year-old daughter check my phone (just when I was beginning to understand my iPhone 7, I upgraded to the XR?!). I actually found something on Amazon that I just ordered to help me organize/locate my items. It’s called “Quick Peek Smart Storage Labels” by BlueLounge...

alwaysposhible @lisaburris - ... you apply a label to the box/bin, download the free app, take a photo of your stuff and then scan the labels to see what’s inside. It was $9.95 & comes with 32 labels. I work from home, so my photos are taken in the guest room. I bought a white tablecloth for the background (I should’ve ironed it now that I look at my photos) & have the same mannequin as you. Practice makes perfect, so hopefully my photos will get better over time!

alwaysposhible @lisaburris - thank you again & again! Enclose your number in the next shipment that I order from you 😉

lisaburris @alwaysposhible I absolutely will. I’m going to check that label thing out now. I just recently decided to switch to a white background as well. I have to have an office space for my stuff because I have 5 boys and I need a “me spot” to keep them out of it. I’m home with them all the time except for a once or twice a week I work at Chico’s. That’s why I have so much on Posh. It’s mostly all stuff from my personal closet I never got around to wearing 😂

alwaysposhible @lisaburris - that’s clever! I need a “me” spot (even though I only have one daughter at home (she’s 12) & my other daughter is in her last year at the University of Arizona (about 90 minutes south). I tried your approach by using a painting that I love in the background. Let’s just say it looked busy whereas yours looks elegant. I hope to post as much as I can this weekend.

alwaysposhible @lisaburris - My problem is how I fluctuate in sizes 😢 or I buy things without trying them on & then too lazy to exchange/return. Poshmark to the rescue!

lisaburris @alwaysposhible I also have a 12 yr old. I gained 80 lbs with my 2 yr old. Went from 120 to 200 and have had the worst time getting it off but I also have endometriosis so my abdomen blows up like I’m 6 months pregnant every time I have a period. That was the reason for the hysterectomy this morning. I hope this works like everyone says and I can get back to normal and normal weight. Then I will sell my entire personal closet and buy new 😉

alwaysposhible @lisaburris - oh my goodness, you had a hysterectomy this morning?! I had one in 2009 & love not having periods anymore! You may want to consider putting yourself on vacation with Poshmark. I overdid it & ripped a couple stitches after my hysterectomy. Take care of yourself! I don’t know what happened to me. I was always thin before having kids, gained weight, then went on the MedShape diet in 2010 & lost a lot of weight: got to size 150. Kept it off until about a couple years ago...

alwaysposhible @lisaburris - got divorced, then was reunited with my high school sweetheart & married him. Soon after, he was diagnosed with a very rare & aggressive cancer (Follicular Dendritic Cell Sarcoma) & passed away on May 6, 2018. I recently reunited with my ex-husband as friends & he has moved back in. I refer to him as my husband even though we didn’t re-marry. So...I guess getting divorced, widowed & being 50 caused me to gain 35 lbs.

lisaburris @alwaysposhible My husband and boys are helping me with Posh. Jimmy just left on his second trip to the post office for me today. I’m in bed writing thank you notes. Lol

alwaysposhible @lisaburris - from the pictures I’ve seen of you, I must say you look absolutely gorgeous. Easier said than done, yet don’t allow weight gain to affect your self-esteem. You’re so pretty, beautiful eyes, talented, incredibly sweet, fashionable...and that’s just the start of the list based on the short time I’ve known you! Things WILL get better for us. 💕

lisaburris @alwaysposhible Oh honey you have been through a lot! I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. That would definitely trigger weight gain. I really try to eat clean I just don’t get enough exercise because I feel so bad all the time. Sometimes I can’t get out of bed for days and feel like I’m bleeding to death with no energy and horrible stomach pains. Then when that goes the migraines hit.

lisaburris Oh my gosh Thank You so Much! You absolutely made my day! I look forward to getting to know you better. Do you have a FB page?

alwaysposhible @lisaburris - thank you for your compassion. I empathize with you since exercise is my issue. I used to be so active at the gym & was passionate about Zumba. Sadly, I suffered a TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) and after various MRIs, I need to see a neurosurgeon...
Mar 07Reply
alwaysposhible
alwaysposhible @lisaburris - ... My neurologist suspected it was MS based on my symptoms, fortunately the MRIs ruled that out. Essentially, I need to have surgery (which is good news - it’s fixable). If I don’t, I risk being paralyzed from the neck down (which is bad news). So, my activities have been limited & that’s why my ex-husband moved back in - to help me. Things are so much better with us now. He & I were married for 20 years. Ernesto & I were only married for 2 years...

alwaysposhible @lisaburris - I do have a FB page!! It’s Elizabeth Bowler Raimondi-Figueroa. Yep, that’s a mouthful! Bowler is my maiden name. Raimondi is my daughters’ last name w/ my ex-husband Robert & then Figueroa was Ernesto’s last name. I disabled FB Messenger years ago, so the only way I can get a “private message” is via email: betsy_raimondi@gmail.com (“Betsy” is my nickname). Confusing, right?! 😂 I look forward to becoming FB friends!!

alwaysposhible @lisaburris - I’m glad you’re getting help from your husband & boys. Give your body the rest it needs to heal, ok? I will pray for a quick recovery for you & that life will become easier. Take care, my friend!

alwaysposhible @lisaburris happy to see you're back in the saddle. I had posted on your FB to text me cuz I was worried (I NEVER post my # on FB, so that shows how much I care about you). After I saw how sick you were, I posted for someone to text me so I could ask them to tell you to put your closet in vacation mode (didn't want to say that on your FB). I fervently prayed for you; what an awful feeling you must've experienced! Continue to take care of yourself...you don't want to compromise your health

lisaburris @alwaysposhible Thank You so much for your prayers! I thought my husband texted you from my phone while I was in the hospital. My oldest son has been running my Poshmark for me I still have a few more weeks of bed rest.

alwaysposhible @lisaburris Wow, more weeks on bed rest? Make sure you follow your doctor’s orders. How sweet of your son to run your Poshmark for you! 💗 Don’t worry about Jimmy not texting me, he had bigger things to worry about: YOU! Take care of yourself - I’ll also assist you by promoting/sharing your closet...

alwaysposhible @lisaburris ...are there any specific items you want me to promote/share? Also, if you get a chance, add “prom” as a keyword in description and/or category to any nice dresses 👗 AND add to the Prom showroom...saw it on a Posh video (helps for people who conduct searches) 😉
