@megprionas I’m so sorry I missed this somehow. It is a very strong plastic piece that pops into another piece. It’s hard to get apart. My granddaughter wore hers all the time when she was awake and never bothered it. She wouldn’t have been able to get it apart. It sits close to the neck. And the most important thing...it helped! Thanks!
