Banana Republic x Olivia Palermo Velvet and Chiffon Asymmetrical Maxi Skirt 00P

This skirt is Olivia Palermo’s "coup de coeur" in the 2017 haute couture collaboration project with Banana Republic. This one time only, one of a kind on-model presentation was open-to-the-public and served to debut the full Banana Republic x Olivia Palermo capsule. This means that once the models were done descending the staircase showcasing their outfits, they headed outside to stand on a podium in front of the Fifth Avenue (NYC, NY) store where customers had gathered. This formula was a hit, as hundreds of customers were lined up and wrapped around the block to shop Banana Republic and have a “meet and greet” with Palermo. There was a strict limited production of these new designs, and only 250 people were allowed into the store (including media and influencers). The entire design line was sold out in less than 5 minutes. This skirt was designed in rich black velvet, lined and highlighted in a romantic, ethereal sheer chiffon. The softly banded waistline is secured with a hook&eye over an 8” long zipper. The hemline halts at the ankle, with the slit starting at mid thigh and concluding in a waterfall of sheer and silky chiffon. Palermo herself announced that this skirt was her favorite of the entire line due to its romantic nature and body enhancing lines. Dry clean only.
