Barrel pearl necklace

I've Google searched these and found they are called barrel boroque pearls. They are real pearls, but I don't know if they are freshwater or sea pearls or if they are cultured or not. I've never seen any like them and am not very up on pearl knowledge. The clasp is pretty but unmarked and looks rhodium to me, maybe rhodium plated as it is shiny. The pearls are very pretty. They come in the black velvet jewelry case shown in the ad. just guessing at original price...I have no idea what they would cost new.
